COLORADO TRADING AND TRANSFER COMPANY Issued
September 24, 1896, cancelled. Issued to J.M.
Parker, signed by J.M. Parker as president. Parker started the
First National Bank of Cripple Creek. Later, he sold the bank to A.E.
Carlton, and for a short time, became involved in the Carlton enterprises.
Very
good condition; light folds; stub stilled attached. |

THE
FREE COINAGE GOLD MINING COMPANY Issued
January 29, 1893; cancelled. Signed by Samuel
J. Altman as president. Altman founded the Town of Altman, the
epicenter of the Western Federation of Miners in the Cripple Creek Gold Mining
District, Colorado. Altman was also a partner with Sam Strong in
the co-discovery of the Strong Mine adjacent to Victor, Colorado. Altman
also helped fund the J.W. Wolfe Hotel and the first and only
"bullfight" in Gillett, Colorado. Very good condition. |

THE ISABELLA GOLD MINING COMPANY Issued
November 20, 1896, cancelled. Signed by Percy
Hagerman as vice president. Percy was the son of James J.
Hagerman, one of the founders of the Colorado Midland Railroad, and a prolific
Colorado mining investor. Percy carried on many of the businesses his
father started. Issued
to N. Maxcy Tabor and signed by Tabor on the
back. N. Maxcy was the son of Leadville silver baron, H.A.W. Tabor.
Long after his father went broke, N. Maxcy Tabor continued investing in Colorado
mines and businesses. Very good condition: some light staining
on left margin; usual folds. |

Issued October 11, 1899, cancelled. Signed by
one of the co-founders of the Portland Mine, Cripple Creek gold baron, James
F. Burns, as president. Stock broker and promoter, Charles
N. Miller as secretary; also, partner of Mollie E. O'Bryan. Very
good condition; punch-cancelled; usual folds.
