Historical Colorado whiskey jugs. A Bit of Bottled History. Mt. Gothic Tomes and Reliquary

In 1902, P. L. Dattelbaum owned and managed two saloons: one was located at the corner of Second and Masonic; and the other was located at 226 - 228 E. Bennett Avenue.

In 1905, P. L. Dattelbaum owned and operated this saloon; however, it was located 226 - 228 E. Bennett Avenue, Cripple Creek, Colorado. Dattelbaum lived at 214 E. Golden.

Blue stencil is a bit light, but still bold and clear. The hair-thin lines in the shoulder of jug are stress-lines caused during the original firing of this jug while it was being manufactured.
