FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING in FIRST PRINTING DUST JACKET.

Book is in near fine condition, with little or no wear visible on the original blue-cloth, gold-embossed covers; the front pastedown does have a previous owner's name lightly stamped on the lower right-hand corner; there is also a bit of light discoloration from the adhesive Scribners used in 1941 tp mount endpapers to covers.  The dust jacket is in very good plus condition with very little sunning, but has seen some scuffing with some light fraying at the head and toe of spine; and various "touch-up" spots of scuffs and scrapes.
