WAR SURGEON'S SET, 1865

Civil
War surgical set once owned by Dr. P. B. Young, A. A. Surgeon
(Assistant Army) , U.S.A. This set was presented to Dr.
Young by his patients of A. B. and E. of the USA General Hospital,
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, February 14, 1865. The set appears
to be housed in a cherry wood box with brass edges; interior red
felt; two layers of instruments.
Box
dimensions: 16-1/2 inches width x 6-3/4 inches across x 3 inches
in depth.
